Welcome to the New England Thoroughbred Retirement Center. Our mission is simply to provide excellent care to Thoroughbred horses retired from racing.

We work directly with professional horsemen, trainers and owners at racecourses and breeding farms across the United States ensuring that Thoroughbred racehorses no longer able to compete on the racetrack are provided with first-rate care for the rest of their lives.

We’ve rehabilitated and retrained a wonderful variety of horses that includes Thoroughbreds from Kentucky, Florida, New York, California, Great Britain and Brazil.

All of our horses begin their retirement at our own Watchtower Farm where we see to it that they receive the care and attention they need when coming off the racecourse. We proudly maintain a selection of retired Thoroughbreds available for conditional-sale, lease, adoption and sponsorship that includes re-trained, Thoroughbred riding-horses and excellent sport-horse prospects.

Visitors are surprised to learn that so many of our retired Thoroughbreds are less than five years old with lots of potential. Come for a visit, take a tour and see what retirement should be like for all Thoroughbreds.
