Dear Friends,

Welcome to The New England Thoroughbred Retirement Center. Our mission is simply to place Thoroughbred racehorses into loving new homes and exciting new careers.
We work directly with professional horsemen, owners and trainers at racecourses and training centers across the United States and around the world to ensure that Thoroughbred horses no longer fit for competition on the racecourse are provided with first-rate care upon retiring from their racing careers.
Since beginning our re-homing program in 2008, we’ve helped to place over one hundred Thoroughbreds from Kentucky, Florida, New York, California, Pennsylvania, Canada, England, Ireland and Brazil. Our Thoroughbreds have begun new lives as dressage, hunter-jumper and eventing prospects, as trail horses, Pony Club and 4-H projects, as school horses and as beloved family pets and companion animals.
Many Thoroughbreds in need of new homes can be viewed by clicking on the “Available” link above. We invite you to call to set-up an appointment to meet our Thoroughbreds at your convenience.
